About These Commentaries
These commentaries grew out of my curiosity about subjects that I found perplexing, controversial, or difficult to understand. When a particular question interested me, I would meditate upon it and allow ideas and impressions to arise through the intuitive process.
I do not practice automatic writing, nor do I claim that these thoughts are dictated by an otherworldly being. I think of their source more simply as intuition—perhaps what some would call the higher self, the soul, or access to a deeper level of consciousness. Whatever their source, I accept responsibility for what I have written and recognize that my own experiences and beliefs inevitably influence how I interpret these impressions.
Sometimes the subjects were prompted by current events; at other times, the questions themselves seemed to arise unexpectedly. The answers occasionally surprised me and sometimes challenged commonly accepted ideas. I have included them not as unquestionable truths, but as possibilities to consider.
Readers are encouraged to approach these commentaries with an open but discerning mind, weighing each idea according to its own merit rather than accepting it simply because it has been presented here.
The articles are arranged alphabetically and are intended to encourage questioning, broaden perspective, and stimulate new ways of thinking about familiar and unfamiliar subjects.

Part Two — Art, Creativity, and Education
Part Two considers art as a spiritual and creative force in human development. As a former art teacher and practicing artist, I have long recognized the importance of art in education, not merely as a skill, but as a means of developing imagination, intuition, sensitivity, and an alternative to concrete and convergent thinking. These commentaries explore the role of the artist, the abstract mind, creativity, beauty, color, and the energy contained in works of art, as well as the contribution of great artists whose visions have enriched human consciousness. From an esoteric perspective, the creative process can become more than self-expression: it can provide a means of reaching beyond the personality toward the Soul. The artist may become a vehicle through which an ideal is perceived, given form, and shared with others, while art itself can encourage harmony, spiritual sensitivity, and greater alignment with the inner life.
